1. Platform Overview
LOKL is a hyperlocal super-app platform that connects customers with local shops, service providers, and delivery partners. We provide the infrastructure for transactions but are not directly responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of goods and services offered by third-party merchants and service providers.
2. Eligibility & User Requirements
- Users must be at least 18 years old to use LOKL services
- Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the platform
- By using LOKL, you agree that all information you provide is accurate and lawful
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
3. Liability Disclaimer
Important: LOKL is a marketplace platform and is NOT directly responsible for disputes between customers and service providers or merchants regarding quality, delivery, or service issues.
In case of disputes:
- Customers and merchants are encouraged to resolve issues directly
- LOKL provides a dispute resolution mechanism, but arbitration is at the platform's discretion
- Service quality claims should be addressed to the specific service provider or merchant
- LOKL is not liable for incomplete, delayed, or poor-quality services
4. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are applied based on the order value as follows:
- Orders under ₹99: ₹20 delivery charge
- Orders ₹100 - ₹299: ₹20 delivery charge
- Orders ₹300 - ₹499: ₹20 delivery charge
- Orders ₹500 and above: Free delivery
Delivery charges may vary during special promotional periods or peak demand times. Additional charges may apply for specific services or locations.
5. Platform Commission
LOKL applies a platform commission on all orders and services. The commission rate varies by category and service type. Merchants acknowledge and agree to these commission charges at the time of registration and with each transaction.
Commission details are provided during merchant onboarding and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
6. Shopkeeper & Partner Membership
- Membership fees are non-refundable after 7 days of registration
- Within 7 days of registration, merchants may request a full refund if they wish to cancel their membership
- After 7 days, membership fees are final and cannot be refunded or transferred
- LOKL reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for policy violations
7. Account Suspension & Termination
LOKL reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service or community guidelines
- Engage in fraudulent activity or misuse of the platform
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Breach payment obligations or attempt chargebacks
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Repeatedly provide false or misleading information
Suspension or termination decisions are final at LOKL's discretion.
8. Payment & Billing
- All payments must be made through the official LOKL payment gateway
- Users are responsible for all charges incurred on their account
- Payment disputes must be reported within 7 days of the transaction
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days
- LOKL is not responsible for payment failures due to user error or financial institution issues
9. Subscription Services
For recurring subscription services:
- Subscriptions auto-renew on the specified frequency unless canceled
- Users can cancel subscriptions anytime through their account settings
- No refunds are provided for unused portions of subscription periods
- LOKL may modify subscription pricing with 30 days' prior notice
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the LOKL platform, including logos, text, images, and designs, is the intellectual property of LOKL or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: LOKL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, business interruption, or profits.
12. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
- All disputes arising from these Terms of Service are governed by Indian law
- Jurisdiction: Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
- In case of disputes, users agree to attempt informal resolution before initiating legal proceedings
- If litigation is necessary, parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nagpur, Maharashtra
13. Changes to Terms
LOKL reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
